Meet Fletch!

Fletch is a new foster for us.  About a week and a half ago I received notification from an ACO that there was a boxer in the pound.  He is a really great dog, not demanding in any way, around 2-3 years old.  Unfortunately he has a severe case of heart worms.  Today he begins a split heart worm treatment.  I would appreciate your prayers that he makes it through.  When he does, he will make an awesome addition to someone's family.
Meet Fletch

Sending wishes for a routine heatworm Tx, with no setbacks or difficulties.
He is a cutie, and lucky to have you guys for a foster family.  When the time comes, I pray he gets a perfect forever family to love and cherish him as he deserves.

A little update on Fletch........

He has settled into our routine and family quite nicely.  Fletch is a somewhat subdued boxer.  He barely barks or whines (I have a suspicion about that) and if he does, it is with obvious restraint on his part.

Because Fletch is so amenable, it has afforded him much more freedom outside the crate, even though he is in heart worm treatment.  In the mornings and evenings he is quite content to pig pile on the dog beds with our two.

He pulls on lead and the first time I gave a firm correction he tried to retreat as if I was going to strike him.    So we will proceed slowly and gently until he understands what I expect of him.

Fletch knows how to give kisses (at least someone in his murky past loved him) and will press his *closed* mug against my lips.  So far, he has continued to *kiss as long as I keep asking.  Silly boy!  It makes you want to love him up every chance you get!  I have no doubt as his trust and spirit are mended, his personality and confidence will continue to blossom!
