Teething question

My 4 1/2" month old girl Mya is teething really bad. I try giving her one of those chilly bones that you put in the freezer first, she's occupied by it for about 5 minutes and thats it! her attention span is really bad, lol. She has plenty of puppy toys to chew on but doesn't seem to want to. instead she only wants to chew on our sleeves or her bed. Any other suggestions on how i can help relieve her pain?

Does your girl like to play tuggy? As long as there are no dominance issues with her, then I would consider wetting a towel, freezing it, then playing tuggy with her. The tension on the gums will help th eteeth erupt, while th ecold will help with the discomfort. Also, really yummy marrow bones will likely keep her occupied and can be frozen prior to giving them to her. That should keep her occupied for quite a while... most dogs I know do not want to let their marrow bones out of their sight until they have really given them a good chew. As a last resort you can always try baby anbesol on her gums to numb them.
