Hello all! My name is Erica and I just got a boxer! My family adopted her from a local shelter in April. Our new baby's name is Dharma (as in Dharma and Greg) and she is about 1 year old. So far she has been the sweetest thing, even though she is sometimes a little, shall we say, exuberant in her play. I think we just have some adjusting to do as our last dog was an Akita (another great breed).

The first pic is of Dharma chillin' on the couch with my nephew, the second is her in her "sentry" position.

She is a cutie. Also a lucky girl to get a forever home. And as for the exuberant play... that is one of the definitions of Boxer!!! Enjoy!

I like that she's energetic, but she has a tendency to run head first into my legs as well. It looks a little like bull fighting when she really gets going!

Congrats on your new boxer!!!!! They are a wonderful breed. I am new to the world of owning a boxer but have been in love with the breed for ever. Good luck with dharma she is beautiful.
