Hi i have some questions about my boy Hunter.

My first question is about these little bumps he gets on his back it seems to go away but it comes back like a day or 2 after it goes away. It doesn't bother him i think but i hate to see him that way. I have changed his shampoo, food, washed his bed and he is still breaking out with these little bumps. And it seems like his fur got thinner the bumps go away leaving scabs and it seems like hair goes with it when it dries. I give him Benadryl it seems to help but its not a solution.

My suggestion is to take him to your Vet when this happens and let your Vet get a look a this.
I'm sure he can pinpoint what the issue may be.

It sounds like hives. Boxers have sensitive skin and some are more sensitive than others. It also could be fly or mosquito bites. I would suggest putting him on heartworm preventative to be sure. All of my Boxers have always been on Heartguard :)

Yup thanks for the information guys it was not mosquito bites because its been happening for 2 months it comes and goes, after eliminating food, shampoo, and his bed i thought it was time to take him to the vet so i took him today and the vet told me a lot of dogs are getting this its Allergy, Hives he gave me some antibiotics and some other pill to give him and he says it should go away. And boxers get this from anything he says its spring trees are changing and a lot of things are in the air. Bill was $104 so i just pray this will be the solution to the problem.

Hoping that this will take care of Hunter's problem.

I hope Hunter is on the mend... allergies and Boxers just go hand in hand....
I always say no Boxer home is complete without benadryl and pepcid on hand at all times!!!

I have a friend whose boxer has serious allergies to the point he would get sacs with fluid under the ear flaps and inside the ears.  Most of the problem was alleviated by changing diet.  But for the times when medication was required, both oral and topical, a product called Genesis was used on the dog's skin.

Here is some info on Genesis (topical steroid), to see if you think it might be of value for Hunter.

Genesis Topical Spray
