Hello all!  Just thought I say hi!   Daisy and I tried going camping this weekend.  We had tried earlier in the summer only to have Daisy go right thru the screen tent when a dog passed by.  She just loves other dogs!  Thinks they are all put on this earth just to play with her! haha!   Well I did go camping another time but as I was going to be 300 miles from home I left Daisy with my daughter.  I was only going about 30 miles away this time so I thought I would try again.  The park where we are staying had a Dog parade this morning so we put her halloween princess costume on and away we went.  There were probably 30 dogs or so.  No prizes but we all walked our dogs around the park for all to see.  It was fun. Daisy had a ton of compliments from all the campers.  After the parade I put Daisy on her tie out lead which lasted about 30 seconds before she and I realised she had come unhooked.  In Daisys mind it was "GAME ON!!"  Catch me if you can... I am free!! and into the woods she ran!  She would run pretty far away and then circle back and then run real fast past us ( my daughter Nicki, her husband Mike and I ) and then do the big circle again.  After about 30 laps or so I sent Mike to get a piece of bacon ( I never give Daisy any people food except ham or hot dogs or steak when I am training)  So I am holding this slice of bacon out as she runs full blast past me and sure enough on goes the breaks and right to me she comes.  I guess the nose still works on Full Blast!  haha!  I guess we have to practice come again ( She always comes in a fenced in yard) She sure wasn't having any thing to do with come today!  What a stinker!  She did entertain the campers around us though!  I will make a camper out of her yet.
