hives on our new puppy.

We have our first white boxer,and he recently developed a rash and hives,They went away after a few hours,but now they are back.Any sugestions as to what this could be and what the cause is?

It really could be so many things. Something they ate, they touched, nerves, etc. Keep an eye on them and have some Benedryl on hand.

Our boxer is also fighting hives. The first time that this occurred we took him to the vet, they gave him a shot and told us to give him Benadryl if the hives returned. That was a year ago. Now, he has them again. I gave him Benadryl all day yesterday and they were almost gone by last night. This morning they are back with a vengeance. I don't know what to do. He is digging, scratching and biting at them ALOT. How long should we treat before we take him to the vet?

k so i have a 4 year old fawn female named delila and she has never had hives the whole time ive had her well she had puppies there now 14 weeks and i still had 3 of them a week and a half ago well she got hives and her face and eye swelled all up heard i could give her benidryl so i did she slept really good that night but was all good the next day well her fawn male ceaser went to his new home that day then found out that he broke out in hives 2 days later and was all good the next day well the fawn female roo roo broke out day before yesterday and got over it yesterday and she went to her new home tonight 10 minutes after she left the brendle male im keeping vinnie the hammer broke out worse then the rest its weird cant beleave they all broke out at different time and i cant figure out what it could be

and the brindle male vinnie the hammer im keeping he has a defect he has no ear opening on one side has any one heard of this and so far no problems with this but dose anyone know what i should do just keep an eye on it or plan a surgery ????

This one sounds like a reaction to allergens. Why don't you have him checked by a vet?
