I know some of you all may not remember who I am and I was going to post a couple of posts that were originally sent after my Sarah died.

Hi Kristine.   I did have to put Caesar down on Monday,  It's been hard, and
I too, cry at the littlest things when I think of him,.  I've been paying a
lot of attention to Hunter, the 10 1/2 month old pup, but it's hard.  He's
pining too, as he was attached to the hip to Caesar.  We took him for a walk
today, and he kept looking around as if to look for Caesar.  He follows me
all over and is afraid I'll leave him alone.  Thanks for writing back and
we'll keep in touch.  It helps to have someone in the same situation to chat
with.

Hi Kris--I am so
very sorry to hear about Sarah.  Having had to put my sweet girl,
Heidi, down almost 2 years ago, I know exactly how you feel.

It helped us to concentrate on the happy memories we had with her, and
we laughed and cried over what a lady she had been, and how embarrassed
she would look whenever she'd done something goofy.

Someone told me that euthanasia is when you take your pet's pain and
make it your own.  It's difficult, but necessary a lot of the time.

Again, my sincerest sympathies to you and your family.

Kristine and family,
I am so sorry that your sweet, tongue licking girl is no longer with
you.
Please take comfort that you made the most loving decision to let her
go, she
is healthy again and happy to wait til you meet again.

Kris, I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about Sarah's cancer.
My own
Teddy had to go to the Bridge for the same reason and it was so sad. I
know
how much you will miss her sweet ways and friendship.  It doesn't help
us,
but I had to think that he was at peace with God and all our friends
who are
waiting for us at the Bridge.  I hope that soon you will be able to
think of
her and be able to smile at all your wonderful memories.    Take care.
Terri

Kris--
I read your sad, sad news on the boxer message board.  I am so sorry.  I know
that at a time like this really are no words that will make you feel
better--just know that our thoughts are with you.

All I could do for you was cry as I read your words it just broke my
heart..God love you and comfort you and Sarah now.
Thanks to you heavenly father for allowing us the time to know and love your
precious creatures and give comfort to those who are left behind by touching
their hearts. In Jesus' name we pray..

Oh, Kris, my heart is breaking for you!  I remember you well, and miss
the
stories of your boxers.  All of us on the boxer board are sharing your
pain,
and giving our boxers an extra hug for Sarah.  Here's a wonderful web
site
that brought me comfort when Mr. Higgins passed to the Rainbow Bridge.
Give
yourself a hug from me.

Kris,

I am so very sorry to hear of Sarah's journey over the Bridge! You
gave
her the gift of love up until the very last minute of her life here.
She is
with you still.........quietly, yet lovingly at your side. May the
beautiful
memories of Sarah continue to enrich your life until you meet again!

Kris,
I'm so very sorry to hear of Sarah's passing.  Just know that she is at the
Bridge now and is free of pain.  I know your heart is breaking.

Sending prayers for the loss of Sarah.....I know how hard this is for
you,
and what a huge hole it creates in your heart.
My thoughts are with you.  It's just not fair that these babies get
cancer
the way they do......

.  Nobody could have prepared me for the pain I feel, having had different
breeds put to sleep when the right time had come, had never felt as bad as
I felt today.  Sarah was my sweet, tongue licking girl who never tired of
being loved, and she was my shadow.  Sarah walked into our lives as a
stray, and stole our hearts.

Oh Kris... I'm so terribly sorry.  Know that Sarah will never be truly gone
from you.  She has become a part of your soul, and will always be with you...
tucked safely into your heart and memories.  I know you have a huge emptiness
inside right now, but day by day, it will be filled with happy, funny
memories of your Sarah.  You are in my thoughts.

I posted your email as requested.

Susan

Dear Friends,
I treasured each and everyone of the posts that the AOL Boxer Message Board sent me after the death of my Sarah.
I am sure you will recognize quite a few of the posters as I have recognized quite a few of the posters since coming back. It feels so good to be back among friends.

Sincerely,
Kris
