Oh yeah... it takes at least two years to produce a reliably trained Boxer (and many other breeds as well). Though I think old age makes my old man think he can listen when he pleases again. Thank doG he is basically a good boy!

Spencer is a very good boy, unless someone comes to the door. Then he thinks he has to protect everyone, by hurling himself at the door. I have to say, it usually does work, because people usually back down the stairs, and run away screaming. Of course, we are working on this, have been for 5 years! LOL So, he probably listens 80% of the time. 100% if Baylee is not involved.
Baylee, on the other hand listens 100% of the time, and ignores me 85% of the time.
Cassius is a very good listener when we are inside, but when we are outside it's a completely different story.....it's like he goes deaf the second we step outside. He's good on a leash but there's not much of a chance getting him to listen when he's running free in the backyard.
It's frustrating at times. I tell myself it's because he's only 7 1/2 months old, and to just give it time but that doesn't get him inside any faster when it's freezing outside....
