Well, after my success with Sadie, I have applied to become a foster home for Nor Cal Boxer Rescue (NCBR).  My home check is on Friday evening, and if all goes well, I may take over the foster care of Bunker http://www.ncbr.org/ca/ca_index.htm

his current foster Mom lives part of the year in Oregon, and they are heading up there this Sunday.  I am told that Bunker has put on even more weight and you can't see all his ribs anymore!!!  SO keep some good thoughts, that the home check goes smoothly.  I'll let you know how thing sgo.smile

Oh my goodness..........that poor baby, he was nothing but skin and bones when he was found.  I hope that there will be no permanent damage done because of his condition.
Bless you for wanting to foster.  I hope that the inspection goes well and that Bunker will soon be with you.

Well, the home visit is over.  I signed the foster home contract.  Now, I just sit back and wait for NCBR to call me.  It appears that Bunker has gone to another foster home today.  I really wish him well.  Poor sweetie pie deserves a wonderful life after his horrific start (they all deserve a wonderful life!).
I am told there is a white male Boxer in the shelter in Monterey... perhaps he will be my first foster dog.  So now, I am just waiting for the phone to ring...  meanwhile, Sadie (my original foster girl) is here... I am dog sitting her while her new family is away in Las Vegas for the week.  So since Cassius is with his Dad, Lacey has someone to keep her company for the weekend.
I'll keep you posted on my fostering... is that the phone ringing...?
