I am here in Oklahoma. I arrived Wednesday. We hit Macys on the way to my friend's home so I could buy some shoes for my outfit. LOL---I have only been home from the Nationals for a week and could not squeeze in any shopping time. I ended up walking out of there with 2 new pairs of shoes as I could not make up my mind. For those that are wondering, you can never have too many shoes :)

We went to eat BBQ at a place called Bad Brad's. It was great! LOL--but very rustic. Dinner is served on styrofoam plates with plastic forks. Their daughter ordered brisket "cowboy style". It was served on butcher paper with no plate. But the food really was great. My pork ribs were huge and I could not even finish them.

Thursday we had the specialty. It was fun though was held during a thunder/lightning storm. No one batted an eyelash. LOL---no one except me. We had it indoors, but I am not used to such weather. Turns out that is as typical this time of year as sun is to California. I enjoyed my assignment as well as meeting up with friends at the show. That evening we went to eat at another favorite spot. It is an all you can eat dinner buffet that is only $7.99. Besides your typical chinese food items which were quite good, it had a ton of seafood. This included snow crap legs. YAY!! One of my personal favorites right next to BBQ ribs. I ate sooooo much I just about rolled out of there. I have not been to a large buffet in several years. And I have never been to one that had snow crab. We finished the late evening with watching a movie in their home. V for Vendetta. Strange movie and pretty good.

It is now Friday morning. Our plans today are to go to a showing of the new Pirates movie. I fly back Saturday morning.

So hello from Oklahoma!!!

Seems you were right in the middle of all the horrific weather that was hitting the MidWest.
Kansas towns were flooded left and right........
We finally have a Macy's here in COS that opened about 6 months ago................being from back East, I do miss some of the major stores.
Glad you are having a good time........
