New arrival !!!

Just wanted to announce our new arrival.  We picked her up yesterday and she was absolutley wonderful on the 4 hour drive home.  No accidents.  She was such a good girl.
We got to keep Cinnamons Time Keeper.  We will be calling her Daisy.  She did real well last night.  Only 2 accidents (which I think is pretty good!)  She has settled right in. 
I will be taking her over to my vets today just for the standard puppy check / friendly visit.  I can't wait until she has the second series of shots ( set for the 10th of Aug) so we can go walking and learning about the world.  She meet the neighbors today and the mail lady. She was a BIG hit.
She is napping right now so I thought I'd let everyone know we got her. I now have to learn all about the digital camera so I can start sending pics! (grin)

Welcome Daisy !!!! I was at a dog show in Portland Oregon this weekend. Someone came up and specifically asked about her and if we were keeping her for the show ring. She is quite lovely. When I told them we decided to find a nice pet home instead, they said whomever was getting her is pretty darned lucky. LOL---I assured them the new owner is very happy smile.gif

Does that dark patch over her eye count as a mismark? I've never seen it before. I kind of assumed with that she wasn't a good show prospect, just a spoiled pet prospect.

It is not a mismark according to our breed standard. Misplaced white markings are a true mismark. But it is an oddity to be sure. She has fabulous conformation and a wonderful face. Head and muzzle to die for. But we were uncertain if that extra mask marking would play a role in how judges evaluated her. Alot of thought went into her future since she is such a standout. There are plenty of con artists that would have sold her as a show pup just so they could grab some extra money off an unsuspecting person.

It was decided a wonderful pet home would be best. And that pet home would simply have one of the most beautiful "pets" a show breeder would produce :)

Hello! I agree completely with Christina! She will be the most beautiful boxer a pet owner could have. Even though I have only had her 2 days I can't believe how she moves. I put her out in the yard to play and run and just am amazed at how well she carries herself. I can just picture her in the ring. Her coloring and when she stands just are incredible!! But when she is prancing the only words a person can say are "Oh my God" and just plain "WOW" She has stolen all our hearts and I consider myself the luckiest person around. I will keep in contact with Phylis and definitely let her know if the mark fades because if it does she deserves to be shown. Something we will work out.
We are enjoying her immensely. She is quite smart. Already knows if she gets a drink or eats she will go right to the door. She has had only a few accidents (I just wasn't quick enough - haha)
I will try to post a few pictures in her new home soon.

I ask because I've never seen a mark like that before. I don't know much about what is specifically disallowed. She is very cute though and I'd be very happy with her either way.

Yup, Ravel is staying at Cinnamon to see how she turns out. She is a cutie pie.

Boi will be coming here on August 12th. I will be flying out to Michigan to get him. I just bought my airline tickets today.

Well it's been 1 week since Daisy has been here and she sure has been keeping us busy.  Just came in from the yard where she was doing her boxer burns.  She is doing pretty good on her potty training.  Does not like the leash but with a little treat to get her going forward we are progressing a little each day.  Still having the ankle biting but I'm am trying to nip that in the bud.  She likes long pants! haha!biggrin  She is becomming my little shadow following me everywhere.  She likes the car ok and is getting used to her harness.  She just laid down today after a few whines.  I swear she has doubled in size.  I will weigh her tomorrow, last Tues she was 10 lbs 10 oz at the vets.  I will try her on my scale.  Just though I'd give a little update if anyone was interested.  I'd like to keep in contact about Toi Boi too.  What a beautiful littler it was!

I am glad Daisy is getting along so well. I spoke with Rob today and my boy is getting bigger and bolder. He is going to be a manly little guy. I can't wait to get him here !
