Dry Cough
Permalink

Hi All,

Since about Monday, Frazier has had this dry cough as if something is stuck in his throat.
He was outside, and chewed some parts of my garden (Monday), a few bulbs and he likes twigs.
Anyhow, I looked up Bordatella which he has had, and Kennel cough.  I understand how there are many strains etc., and it has been over two weeks since our last puppy class so he hasen't been around any other doggies.
I need some advice.  He is sleeping well through the night and acting his normal self.  Eating and drinking fine......

What to do, what to do??  Oh, and we just saw the vet Saturday for his last series of shots and such, all went well.

One more thing----Even though he feasted on my tiny garden  :)  later that day, this started early with his morning meal (kibble).  He can be a fast eater.  ??  He chocked a bit while eating.

Later,
Patricia

When they get their vaccinations, we are actually putting those diseases into their bodies in very small doses so they can build an immunity. Sometimes they get slightly sick from them. and will display some of the symptoms. A human baby will generally run a fever afterwards.

Most of my dogs gobble their food. Even though I moisten their kibble, they sometimes choke on it. Chances are he iritated his throat when he choked. If it persists I would check with the Vet.

Keep an eye on him. LOL---gobbling is a good way to describe how my Penny eats. Does not even chew her food. That takes too much time :)
