Anyone wanna chime in and voice there opinion on this kibble? Pros/cons??? We just started using this food and ever since our little baby girl has a softer stool since and we are wondering why? We have her on the royal canin 23 or is 33 not sure...basically the one for pups(will have to look when I get home). It isn't runny, but it isn't as hard as it has been in the past with iams or purina.
It is very possible that this food is just too rich for her. While it is a quality food, it may not be best for her. Does she have any other symptoms of food intolerance: bad gas, grumbly tummy, itchy feet or ears? How long has she been on the new food? If it's less than a couple weeks she may just not have adjusted yet.

we cracked the bag open on the 2nd of dec and gradually mixed in with the iams that we were feeding before. She has been on just canin for about 2 1/2 weeks now and the stools are lighter and softer and more of one or two pieces of loose stool. I have only heard the grumbly tummy once, other than that...no gas. The iams that we were feeding her...gave her gas and the stools were darker and more solid and came out in little bits. Just not sure which of the two I favor...I would hate to keep changing her diet.
Any change in diet will cause gas and loose stools. So you just have to watch her carefully and make the switch gradual. If you suddenly went to an Indian restaurant for dinner and you had never eating it before, you might find some rather unpleasant backfiring too :)

Reviving an old thread. Has anyone hear used the Royal Canin Boxer diet? I know it exists, but I've never actually seen it. It's supposed to be geared to a boxer's specific needs. I don't have any intentions on changing the food I feed now, but just wondering if anyone has any experience with it, and what they think.
I've never used Royal Canin MAXI Boxer 26, but after looking at the ingredients, etc. it doesn't appear to be a poor choice in comparison to other foods on the market.
My only problem with it is the 26% crude protein and 20% crude fat.
I prefer something in the 21% and 11-12% ranges. Just my preference.
