Our little 8 week old puppy doesnt chew when he eats. He pretty much just swallows his food whole in about 3 seconds after we give it to him. The size of the food is about half the size of skittles. Any tips to get this guy to start swallowing before he chokes?
Soak his food just a bit before feeding him. Give him smaller meals more frequently. And you can also try ice cubes in his food to make him have to eat around them :)

This is the same puppy with the vomiting/spitting up problem right? It sounds like this is the cause of the spitting up. Christina has good suggestions. You can also put large balls int he food dish to slow him down. Another alternative is to scatter his food across the kitchen floor, so he has to "hunt" for it. This will slow him down because he'll only be able to get a few kibbles at a time before he has to find more.
