Can someone here tell me? Is it safe to deworm a female while she is preg.? A freind of mine has a female due any day and 1 vet. told her NO and 1 told her yes. Does anyone have any expereance with this?
I would not deworm her just prior to whelping. Deworming will have to wait until the puppies are here and strong enough to handle the deworming meds they will get via the bitch's milk. I would hold off, and check with the vet on an appropriate time to treat post whelp.

Thank you both for your replys. I really did not think so and my vet. was the one that said NO, (I knew I could trust him.) LOL!! Her bitch had 9 puppies and the poor thing looks like she is at deaths door. Some people just never listen. I hope she does what she says and gets her fixed now.
