For those that don't know, many health tests can be registered with OFA. Obviously OFA has to rate hips, but other tests like heart can be publicly registered as well. This makes a wonderful public database to both research dogs and the breed as a whole.
www.offa.org and all you need to know if part of the dog's name.
When a breeder tells you the parents of a litter are health tested, but they don't show you the actual testing results, you can look on the OFA website to at least see if the dogs are listed. If they are not, and the breeder is stalling about showing you test results, walk away.
There are many responsible breeders whom do health test and will be very open to share testing results. Thankfully Holter testing is a brand new report on the OFA website. I sent my application to Dr Kate Meurs to authorize and will mail to OFA once I get it back from her over Brandi's passing results. But in the mean time, a responsible breeder should openly show you the holter paper copy results without any problems.
