It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I share with you all the passing of My Boy Tanner. It was time to let him go and join all of our Others who have gone before and are patiently waiting at The Bridge to be reunited with us.Through my tears and the emptiness that is now in my heart I will share with you some of my life with Tanner.Tanner was bred and born in Hawaii and came to us after we had to let our lovely Boy Merlin go.he too had Lymphoma.I knew from the moment Tanner came home with me, that This One was definitely going to be a handful.Tanner had a propensity of always doing things his way, much to my chagrin.Beginning at 16 Weeks with Puppy Socialization and on through to Advanced Obedience Classes, all the way to  Show Competition for his  CGC, RN, RA, RE and CD, he always had to add a twist to what he did.Either his performances were brilliant and joy to watch and his  scores Exceptional or I could tell as soon as the Judge said,  Are you ready?, and I asked Tanner to, Watch me! that this was going to be one of Those Days! Tanner would turn his head totally away from me and look in the other direction. I learned over the years that this meant I cant see you; therefore I cant hear you and you are not there. Tanner usually had the observers in stitches with his Twist on things and Bev thoroughly embarrassed and verging on an instant Migraine.  We somehow managed to pass on those days, but the score was deplorably low.As people who compete in the Performance Venue of Dog Showing say, Our Dogs have a way of keeping us humble!   Tanner has always kept me humble and yet filled me with the knowledge that his heart belonged to no one but me.
Tanner was my constant companion at home and our loyal protector.
At this time, please help me celebrate the life of an extraordinary BoxerMy Tanner Red Rocks RIMPAC Warrior, CD, RE, CGC

Little did I know this morning thatGod was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,
And in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
but, you did not go alone,
For a part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You leave us beautiful memories,
your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you,
you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one,
this chain will link again.

Bev,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lit a candle in memory of your Tanner. My most heartfelt condolences go out to you. May your pain soon ease and be replaced by all those wonderful memories that your heart holds dear.

Run and be free sweet boy.
