9 years ago today, as I walked through the Lee County Humane Society, I found you sitting in the very last cage happy to see me. I knew at that moment you must be mine. We brought you home and you seemed to fit in well. Shortly there after we learned that you came with some baggage. Not only did you have kennel cough, but you had dog aggression, territorial aggression and severe separation anxiety. What a rollercoster we had at the beginning...But after some training and consults with a Veterinary Behaviorist (and of course your snip-snip) we got through it. You are your momma's special boy and her heart dog. I have no idea what I'm going to do when the day comes that you are not here anymore. Sorry we did surgery earlier this week and part of it was on your mouth, so you can't enjoy a chewy bone today, but I promise to get you one when your mouth heals. I did get you a special treat, yummy canned food for your dinner tonight!! So Happy 9th Gotcha Day my Monster and Happy 10th Birthday!
Happy Gotcha and Birthday Riley!!! I hope that Canned Food was a yummy treat for you!
