My female has a UTI and is on antibotics, she has never been bred, is this common? Anyone else had this problem, the vet said maybe she picked it up just by urinating near something w/bacteria.
There is some very good information on UTI's on this site. Hope everything is better and under control. I am assuming that your girl is spayed at this age.

UTI's are as common in dogs as in humans. LOL--actually they are more common since they are not wearing panties :)
A UTI can develop into things much worse depending on the bacteria involved and how far up it travels. As well, Pyometra is a deadly infection that only kills intact females. Hopefully your girl is spayed so at least this health hazard can be avoided.
