Fabulous news!! I will be at the ABC National Specialty and definitely will be attending Dr Meurs' seminar. I never miss hers !!
---crossposted with permission---
Joyce Campbell DVM and Chair of the Health and Research Committee has asked me to post the following:
Washington State University has announced that "WSU veterinary cardiologist Kathryn M. Meurs discovered a mutant gene in the Boxer breed that causes a type of heart disease that can be fatal in animals and humans." (ARVC)
For the full information as published by WSU go to http://www.wsutoday.wsu.edu/pages/publications.asp?Action=Detail&PublicationID=14446&TypeID=1
Dr. Meurs will be making a presentation at the ABC national specialty at some time (yet to be announced) which will give more details and will try to answer the many questions that I know inquiring minds on these lists want to know.

I'll be there until Wed. ...after Max is finished showing. Hopefully she'll have more than one presentation..I'm sure there will be standing room only.
Dr Meurs usually has an hour and that is usually it. We have so many functions to put on in just a couple rooms. So it will be a single seminar that will definitely be standing room only.
You should have been at her seminar in Wisconsin. A ton of people and they were all barely breathing. Just hanging on her every valuable word.
