Please light a candle this evening. A candle for the safe passage of my Sammy into Heaven. Sammy passed away today. Sammy would have been 9 years old in October. Sammy was my heart dog. My heart aches to write this. Sammy taught me so very much in his short time here. Six years was just too short of a time! Sammy taught me how to love. Sammy taught me about unconditional love. Love from another human being is one thing but the love from a dog is amazing. And even with my still houseful of dogs there will never be another Sammy. My most loyal and faithful friend. May you rest in peace and comfort knowing that you were loved and will always be in my heart and soul.

Anni, I am so very sorry. I know the loss of Sammy leaves a gaping hole in your heart and your home. Godspeed Sammy, you will be sorely missed. Enjoy the Bridge.
