Below Zero and Single Degree Temps..

I reside in the Windy City, Illinois and Sam is entering his fourth month, his 27'th day with me and my family!  The past week, 01/27/07 to this morning,
the weather has gotten colder each morning and he's very hard to get to go outside!  He weighs close to 25 lbs. already and bending over first thing in the am!!

I'm in CO and it was -3 degrees this morning. Tanner and Zammi (NMs 9 y.o. and 5 y.o. respectively) have no problem going out in the a.m.  We call it "Power Peeing"!  Pilot, the 4 month old shakes tremendously and I still let him Potty on the newspaper on the kitchen floor first thing in the morning.
Pilot weighs in at almost 30 pounds and is no fun to pick up anymore!  LOL

All I can say is goig outside to pee in below zero tmeps sounds nuts to me!!!!  Why would Sam want to go out???  LOL

My kids are freezing cold if it's below 50* (temps below this mean we break out the parkas, wool socks, flannel sheets, and down comforters here in Northern CA).  Below zero might as well be like liquid nitrogen for them!!!!  I have trouble getting mine out to potty if it's raining... they think I am torturing them, so I can sort of relate.

Heck here in Portland if I couldnt get the dogs out because it was raining they would never go out... :)... mine love the rain they think it is great to rip up the lawn as they play tag.... they love the snow and cold they think it is cool to see there breath and grab handfulls of snow and run around with them. and the warm hot weather.. they know that mom will break out the kiddy pool for them and they can spend hours splashing around... they want to go outside all the time.. trying to keep them inside is my problem...  Everytime they think I am going to go near the door they are over there begging to go out...
