There is a school playground right across the street from my house. At the playground there is obviously a jungle gym filled with all sorts of obstacles. One of Cassius' favorite things is to go to the playground and play on the jungle gym.

He has a routine, he'll run up the stairs, across the bridge, and then run, not slide, down the "kiddie" slide. He'll repeat this 15 - 20 times. He also will jump over bars and benches and just go nuts. When I watch him do this, I can't help but wonder if he would benefit from agilty. Not necessarily competing, but just getting out and running a course that will challenge him athletically. I can't see how boxers wouldn't be good at agility.

Do any of you guys have your boxers or other guys in agility classes/competitions???? Do they enjoy it??? If so, how did you get started and at what age?? I don't want to start him too early or too late.

I'm just curious so any information would be very helpful....

Thanks!

Becky

I think Cassius sounds like a PERFECT Boxer for agility!
I have friends whom compete their dogs. It honestly seems a sport tailor maid for Boxers.

Go online and see if there are obedience classes in your area. Call them and find out if they, or someone else, teaches agility. I think Cassius would love it !
