Okay, so he is not a Boxer. But he is my new desk mate here at work. I have had Charlie, a crowntail Betta for a few months now. He is in a 5 gallon tank with 2 Cory cats. I love him. He is like a puppy dog. I added a 2.5 gallon tank on my desk (L-shaped desk) and was lucky enough to find a Big Red to add to the family :)
Big Red is a halfmoon Betta. He is not flared in the photo, but you get the general idea of his color. And I know it is out of focus; I used my cell phone camera.
Cool and I think the picture looks good.. Fish are hard to photograph. I have a tank at home 35 hex with about 25 30 fish in it... I also belong to a fish club here in portland called Greater Portland Aquarium Society. GPAS for short. I am very small time compared to some of the people in the club.. I mostly joined because one of my fiends belongs.. now I have a bunch of friends that belong... the fish geeks.. I have thought about adding a tank to my desk at work.... I dont know if I could make it work.. now you have me thinking..

OK Christina... Charlie called me. He is rather upset about your announcement about "Red" here on the board. He demands equal time and, of course, "top billing"!!
LOL Seriously, Red is beautiful, as is Charlie (her first "work fish").

LOL---I had an old job like that. Thankfully where I work, I need a pleasant office. So they are more than happy all I want is a stereo and 2 small fish tanks :)

LOL!!!! Charlie knows there is only one Charlie in my world. He is a pretty big fish to try and replace. So I won't even try :)

*haha* I had to giggle at this entire post. Good stuff!!
Big Red is quite the handsome Beta! I miss having fish at home (never had 'em at work) - I always loved the sound of the filter & the bubbles - rather relaxing. I used to have Tetras, Rainbows, Silver Dollars & Angelfish when I lived back home... but this was years ago. Maybe once my fiancee & I get our forever home, I'll con him into getting some fish. They're so lovely to just sit & watch.
Betas are such lovely fish.......so colorful and handsome. We used to have a 50 gallon aquarium a long time ago.
