Hopefully you have heard already, but multiple brands of wet dog and cat foods have been recalled. They include such "good" brands as Eukanuba and Nutro, as well as many others. Again this is strictly wet food, and only the chopped in gravy varieties. There have been many cases of kidney failure and at least 10 deaths associated with these foods.

Well I am still unsure about the cans of food I have. I went to the web page at work printed out the info and went home at lunch. The date on the bottom of the cans is the best buy date not the manufactured date. I have Nutro max food and Nutro choice food. All of it is the chunks in gravy. I am thinking of just boxing it all up and taking it back let petsmart sort it out. If they wont take it back I am going to throw it all out. I dont want to take any chances. I did feed Sierra and Autumn half a can each last night. They seem ok today. No vomiting. There eating habbits seem to be about the same. They were snoozing in there kennals when I got home and I let them outside they ran around and came back in. Anything else I should be looking for?

No, just keep watching for any change in their overall health. I have a suspicion (no facts to back it up) that the deaths occurred in animals who ate the affected foods daily, and with multiple meals. It seems to me, that if only a small amount of food caused it, then this would have been caught much sooner. It is a great idea to box up your food, and take it to PetSmart. They should know exactly which item are affected, and according to the news reports here, they are fully willing to refund any purchases made of the affected foods.
