Quirky but funny habits

I'm curious to know what funny and quirky habits your boxers have.

I'd love to hear the things that they do that you just can't help but to laugh about it.

Here are a few of Cassius':

1. He is afraid of getting into the car. He will get in on his own now with a little coaxing, but for a long time I've had to carry him to it and put him into it.

2. He refuses to eat his food out of his bowl. He will get a mouth full of food, turn around a put it all onto the floor and then eat it piece by piece. It's like he has OCD.

3. Has know idea that since he's a boy he's "supposed" to lift his leg to potty. He squats like a girl....

4. Sleeps on his back......spread eagle.

My Crystal used to do the spread eagle thing too. LOL---makes you wonder how they can be comfortable in such a position .

Brandi and Penny both have an annoying habit of trying to lick me when I am just out of the shower and working on getting clothes on. They will both stand at the edge of the bed and lean forward to try and lick my nekkid body. I have to lean so far over I am almost hugging my dresser just to stay out of tongue range.

LOL---I have no clue why this brings them pleasure.

Jake likes to eat his food off the floor too !  He'll take a bite put it on the floor eat it and then sit.  Get up and do the whole thing over.  It cracks me up.  He also loves to play catch with himself.  He'll get his ball and flip it so that it is far enough away to run after it....I think that maybe that's a dog thing, but it is still funny.  He can do that for hours.  He also likes to "find" the ball under a blanket or rug.  I'll stick it under there and he'll sniff around, when he finds it he backs up and pounces like a cat.  He can get really high sometimes.  Oh and another thing that cracks me up is when he passes gas and it's loud enough to shock him.  Like he can't figure what it was and where it came from.  Brother ...I love boxers!!

Well, let me see...............
Tanner will not come to eat until you call him and tell him it's breakfast or dinner.
Zammi must turn around at least 10 times before he settles down for the night.
Pilot waits until the Tanner and Zammi are finished eating before he starts......

Bob.....will not TAKE NO for an answer.....when it's exactly 4:00 pm ( I have no idea how he can tell time)....he wants to go for his walk, so he will follow me around the house, every room until I take him for a walk. He will rattle the leashes that hang on the wall....until I take him for a walk....he won't let up.

Stella, has the licking problem like Christina stated, if I'm out of the bath or jacuzzi, she's a licking machine...trying to dry me off...ASAP

For some reason, they both wake up at 5:00 am, and try to crawl into bed with us, ON MY SIDE....so, I've got two boxers at the side of my bed, all the while trying to get my Dh to MOVE OVER....

My girl Belle has a "baby". Her baby is actually one of my daughter's stuffed toys that says a bedtime prayer. She must have the baby at all times, and without the baby, Belle is lost. She treats the baby like a puppy, gently carrying baby everywhere, nesting with baby, and defending baby against our cat. It's kind of creepy, actually!

HA! Mine does that! Back when it was chilly, she'd be curled up in front of the fireplace (gives a whole new meaning to "gas logs" doesn't it?) with her nose right at her nub. She'd rip one off and her little nose would start to twitchin! I'd bout crack right up every time!

Sorry to be crude. But if you have a boxer, then you are well aquainted with all manner or slobber, drool, gas, belches, and whatnot

This would be Lacey.  She talks to me all the time, and she sounds just like a Wookie.  I foften call her Wookie Girl or Chewey.

Tanner will not come to eat until you call him and tell him it's breakfast or dinner.

Hmmmm....does Tanner know which is which, Beverly?  Have you ever tried to fool him, by telling him that dinner is breakfast, and vice versa?  And if he's really eating breakfast at dinner time, does he then stay up all night because he thinks it's daytime?????

Sorry, Bev,,,just couldn't resist!  ;0)

Now for mine:

Baylee will get Spencer in a headlock and clean his ear.  Yes, that's right, just one, the brindle one.  It must smell differently or something.  Once the vet remarked at how clean Spencer's ears are!  LOL

Spencer is always the first one OUT the door, and Baylee is always the first one IN the door.  He cannot come into the house until she gets to the door.

Sometimes, I think Spencer would starve if it was not for Baylee letting us all know when it's time to eat!  She sits next to HIS bowl and whines.

Come to think of it, she also lets us know when it's time to go to bed.  She sits at the edge of the hall and sighs...LOUDLY!!!

LOLOL, you had me laughing................You know what I mean.
Zammi is sitting by the kitchen door, where I have to banish him so I can prepare their dishes, and Tanner is somewhere downstairs.
The family word for the dog's meals here is "Nummies" (my children came up with this when they were young and it's stuck through the years). So, I usually call, "Tanner, Nummies!" and he come into the kitchen and sits by his throw rug. Zammi is usually hopping from foot to foot by now and dripping like a faucet. Thank goodness Pilot just sits on his rug and awaits.............one Zammi is enough!! LOL
