Hello! I am new to this forum (hence my posting in the "Introduce Yourself" section) but not new to boxers. About 9 years ago, we accidently bought a boxer. I don't know what we thought we were getting! I grew up with retrievers, and boy was the world of boxers a shock! It was a pleasant one though. Our first boxer baby turned out to be the best dog I have ever had the honor of sharing my life with. I have been in love with the breed ever since.
Our first boxer, Bo, a brindle female, went with us everywhere. She hated the beach but went along because she knew we loved it & loved her. I was also able to bring her to work with me, so she was seldom left on her own.
Just over a year ago, we brought another boxer into our home-a flashy female named Belle. Shortly after Belle came to stay with us, Bo developed cancer. Bo lost her battle with cancer on Feb 4th of this year. Heaven  is a bit more fun and a bit more striped since Bo arrived.
Belle (alias Bella Bella Big Butt) is thriving, though. In fact, she is a holy terror! We are very fortunate to live in an area where Belle can run, romp, rip & snort to her heart's content, and she has turned into quite the country lady! She loves to chase deer and cows. God help us if she ever catches one! Belle is scheduled to be spayed in September, after that we will begin our search for another boxer for her to torment. After all, insanity loves company!
I am looking forward to learning about all of you & your boxers, as well as learning even more about this breed of dogs that has stolen my families heart.
