Brandi's false pregnancy has gotten worse. She woke us both up last night as she cried outside our door. In a very incharacteristic move, my hubby let her into bed with us. She snuggled next to me and did not move until morning. We have hidden an untold amount of fuzzy "babies" already. We keep giving her balls to play with and try to distract her. And her eating is still just awful.
I know I have to let Mother Nature take its course. But sheesh! I will not have a teenage bride having her first litter!

Poor Girl............I was hoping that it would have improved by now.
May Mother Nature take her course a bit more swiftly. (((Brandi)))

Since I've never gone through this before, my question is, how come when a dog has a false pregnancy, they lose their appetite?
nancy bobby and stella
Every dog is different. Some eat more, some eat less, some have no change. When Brandi was in season she was eating great. I was thrilled! Now she is making up for it.
I got back from Portland and she was awful still. So I have been working hard since Monday to get some weight on her for this weekend. She looks better, though still needs a few pounds. My goal is to have her actually chunky in 2 weeks for the ABC Nationals.
