There is alot of fear right now, over our processed dog food. Recalls of over 130 varieties and the number is climbing. At first there was finger pointing by those that feed a more expensive diet. But those fingers quickly dropped when some very well respected foods were included.
I pride myself on giving my Boxers a balanced diet. This includes kibble and home cooking. But even I did not know what "wheat glutton" was. I assumed it was mashed up wheat but still natural. Well, here in the US it probably is a bit more natural. But in China they are obviously not paying as much attention :(
Please keep yourself informed about the latests recalls and read the labels on your dog food. I do not endorce any particular one so this will never be a bashfest on Boxer Central. But even I have to pay a bit more attention. I though I was :(

I have always tried to buy my pets good food... And the food I am using I have been very happy with. I have been feeding them the nutro choice lamb and rice. I am glad that I generally feed them mostly dry food although I have feed them some can. Luckly I didnt feed them the bad canned food but still took back $21 in can food to be on the safe side. When I heard that it was the wheat gluton I was concerned wondering if this was in dry food as well I kept checking the nutro web site to see if they had more updates on the recall. Then I heard on the news about the rice gluton. Back to the web I went they dont buy rice gluton from that manufacture... But I am still nervous about it. Now I heard a rumor about corn gluton... I dont want to switch them to only home cooked food but this is starting to get to me.. I am keeping a close eye on all my pets... But this needs to be resolved.

It amazes me that manufacturers apparently think "oh well, it's just pet food". It at least seems that way. If they cared they would be more careful at examining the ingredients they use. They need to realize that we consider our pets adopted children not just animals!
We feed a raw meaty bone diet. I beleive that a lot of the cancers we are beginning to see is from kibble and canned foods. Especially if you start looking at what is in the processed foods.
