You can use standard Q-Tips to clean their ears, as well as guaze squares or tissues to wipe the larger areas. Yoiu can also get pre-moistened towels for wiping out their ears. A dogs ear canal is shaped like an L so as long as you only go straight down, you willnot damage their ear drum. IF their ears are peticularly icky or smelly, then I suggest you have your vet do an ear swab to check for yeast or bacteria.

My pup had some ear issues for a while, we used cotton balls with a soulution the vet gave us- Chlorahexidine- about 2-3 times a day for a while. But, he also suggested just using 50/50 mix of white vinager and H20. Worked well :)
