This weekend was the one show weekend that completely wipes me out every year. It is a benched dog show. I had Toby and Brandi benched for both days. This is a normal dog show but then is set up as a type of Meet-and-Greet for the public. It always wipes me out as well as the dogs.

Susan came with me Saturday to help. Genie (Toby's mom) came Sunday. Saturday we got there insanely early to get good parking but mainly to set up my bench. I tend to do my bench up rather well each year. Colorful with lots of Boxer photos. I want to show people a variety of colors and marking patterns. Susan is always a fabulous help both with my bench area and the dogs.

I will have photos up sometime this week. For now I can barely keep my eyes open.

Toby went Reserve Winners Dog both days. He is only 7 months old and this was his 2nd weekend out. I was pretty proud of my big baby boy. He loved the public and showed well in the ring. Sonda Peterson showed him in the breed. She has an excellent hand with youngsters. He went Best Puppy and so I showed him in the Group. Brandi won her Bred-By class as a single entry each day. She went Best Bred-By on Saturday but I did not stay for Groups. Brandi is going through a false pregnancy and I did not want to keep her at the show any longer than I had to. As it stood, we stayed until 6:30pm on Sunday just to show Toby in the puppy Group. Loooooong days.

I was proud of both kids. They showed well (Brandi was fabulous on Sunday) and they loved the public. I took a hot bubble bath when I got home last night. LOL--it will take me a couple of days to recover.
