The friend who I got Voodoo from always shared his bed with her. However when I got her, I crate trained her as I thought I would be returning her and he was very ill - so could no longer share his bed. The day I got the news that my friend was not going to make it I let her sleep in my bed for the first time.
That worked fine as long as my b/f didn't come over. The king size bed is not big enough for the 4 of us (Voodoo, b/f, Raggedy Ann (my cat) and me). Voodoo is such a bed hog that my b/f ended up in the guest room that night.
So Voodoo was told to go back to her crate. My preference is to leave the crate open so I have tried really hard to train that the crate is her bed. For the most part she is really good about it - except when she's not. She puts herself to bed every night but sometimes she sneaks to my bed in the middle of the night. If she wakes me up, I send her back. If not she gets away with it.
Of course she is invited up in the morning. So here is a pic (don't tell the b/f it's here, not his very best moment) - I've also attached a pic of Voodoo demonstrating how she kicked the b/f out of bed - lol.
Wow sorry I've written a novel in response to a yes/no question!
Yes they do. Lacey sleeps right next to me, her preference is to be touching me at all times, under the covers. Cassius varies from sleeping on top of the bed to sleeping on the dog bed on the floor, he doesn't like to be touched or nudged while sleeping. The cats also share the bed with us, coming and going through the night and morning as they see fit. I have a queen sized bed and am lucky if I get 65 inches on one side to sleep!!! LOL

Well, mine are not allowed to sleep in our bed. Hubby put his foot down on that one single thing. There is simply not enough room. We tried to allow Crystal in bed with us years ago. But she had a running dream and kicked hubby in the face. LOL--he loved his girl and was not mad. But decided that clearly such a situation was not going to work out.
If hubby is away overnight, all the Boxers sleep with me. And in the morning when he goes to work, they sleep with me for that extra hour before I get up. All traveling for dog shows that require a hotel stay will have the dogs in bed with me.
But the typical place the PawPrint gang sleeps is anywhere else in the house they want ;)

Daisy sleeps with me half the time. Usually she will start out under the cover laying across my legs. Then she will either get too warm and want out or moms legs go to sleep and I make her move then she will either go sleep on her pillow right next to me on the floor or it's out to the spare bed or couches. SHe makes her rounds, haha! When I leave for work she is right next to DH and does not leave his side until I get home (I leave at 5:30 am) or until he leaves and puts her in her crate.
Well..Max sleeps in his crate, he is very good about that. The other 2 boys, they sleep where ever they please, and most of the time, it's with us. It does vary once in a while, one will sleep with us, the other either on the couch, one of the dogs beds, or both cuddled up together on the couch..:) We have a king size bed, and hubby is not a small man, & it does get a little cramped...but I would'nt have it any other way. Half the time hubby falls asleep on the bed in the TV room anyway.
When Rob still sailed all the dogs slept with me when he was gone. But now that he has a land job, it is impossible to let 5 sleep with us. The "twins" sleep in their crates because they are not trustworthy yet. The rest sleep where they want. We do have dog beds in our room if they want to use them.

"Trustworthy" is the word!! :) Frazier sleeps with me! He's good about sharing- He hangs out at the edge of the bed but has to be right next to me and touching just enough! It 's funny when it's time to lay down, he does his turning in a circle twice and just plops down hard! And if I need to move him, 4get it!!! He turns into a block of cement! :)
When DH is gone, the The Boys usually sleep with me. Everyone has their specific place on the bed: Zammi at my feet, Tanner next to my shoulders and Pilot by my side. They are all very good when I want more room, all I have to do is say the magic words, "Moose, Moose," and they all move. This is the way my DD at 18 months just to tell our first Girl, Shiva, to move. It stuck with all of our subsequent Boxers! When DH is home they have beds in the bedroom and they have their sofa to sleep on. They just immediately migrate when he's home.

Duke sleeps with me about 5 days out of the week. The BF doesn't allow him in the bed when he's over and i can understand why. Duke is a major bed hog and he has to be more than just touching you all night...he has to be leaning against you w/ all of his 60 lbs and counting...But its totally worth it. I love to cuddle with my baby.
