OMG Nancy... this is too much. Was AStelly having symptoms? Or was this just a regular checkup? I will do some research and find out what I can. Hang in there...

Nancy, just hang in there. Was she diagnosed before? Is the Sotalol new or an existing med she has been on. If this is new for her, let me assure you it is the very best heart med she can be on for BCM.
I have never heard a cardiologist refer to stages with BCM, so am unfamiliar with what you have been told. Was she having symptoms?

This was her regular yearly check up for her EKG/treadmill test.
The only symptom, that I noticed, which only started about a week ago, was, on our usual morning and evening walks...she was slowing down ...we usually walk at a good pace for an hour. She usually is thirsty on our walks, so I bring a water bottle with me..she wouldn't take water. So, I cut the walks down 30 minutes...she was way more tired than usual.
Stella is 6 & 1/2, she was diagnosed with a arrhythmia, when she was 2 & 1/2...she's been on Sotalol ever since....the first year was one pill a day, then for the past two years...she's been on a lower dosage of 1/2 pill a day.
Her blood work came back last night, and her cardio vet called ASAP....to let us know that, in her words...everything was *BEAUTIFUL*...
So, that said, I'm just hoping this new medication will help her.
She will now be going in every 4 months, instead of once a year.
Well, I am relieved the new meds are working. Many Boxers have been able to extend their life rather well under the care of a cardiologist. It sounds like you have her in the best hands possible :)
