I have 2 Boxers, Waylon and Roger, and love them very much. My wife & I live on a small farm and the dogs have about 2 & 1/2 fenced acres to pillage and destroy, their hobbys are to find stuff and ruin it and leave it on my patio. I always kind of wondered what the Boxer was bred for exactly so I did some research on the internet and wasn't overjoyed with all the results so I did my own resurch with my own Boxers and these are my conclusions: Boxers were ment to rip stuff apart so when we buy something new we give them the boxes the stuff came in and they tear them into the smallest of peices. Presto, instant recyclers, A greener dog for the modern world.
A warm welcome to you and Waylon and Roger. Yep, Boxers can certainly "Love to Death" any new toy you give them, especially anything that is a Stuffie. I have three and the youngest (7 months old) can be a "Destructocon" if not supervised. He is spending lots of time tethered to me and is in a Novice Obedience Course right now. Would love to see pictures of your two...
