After a long search that took many months, I was able to find an intact copy of Colliers magazine dated 6/02/51. I almost thought this issue was a myth. Why did I search so long? Because of a fantastic photo spread I had been told was contained in this issue.
After Bangaway won Westminster, of course there became a lot of interest in him. This article was just such an interest with wonderful photos. I am thrilled to share this with everyone. I scanned all color photos contained in the article and added their original captions. Please enjoy this look into our past !!
Our First Boxer, Shiva, was a BangAway GrandDaughter, with Salgray and all the old Kennels in her Pedigree. Brings back lots of memories.

That makes you a lucky duck! By the time I was involved in Boxers, Bangaway was a long ago figure of the past. Though thankfully I have been able to research since then. He was a handsome boy for that time and even for now :)

He was not 100lbs. That was more an embellishment of the press . Bangaway was more along the lines of 70 lbs which is what I believe his owners listed on his stud card.
