Haven't visited the Worldwide Boxer site in a while. It was very interesting. Thanks!

Thank you. I would be lying if I did not say how much I both loved and admired him. Judy was always a supportive fan of both him and his kids. She even put Booker T on the pages under noted top American sires :)

Booker T was always gorgeous, both coming and going... But that was only a small part of what Booker T was. For those of you who never got to meet him in the flesh, you missed out... he was indeed a very special boxer boy... I miss him alot (not as much as C does, but alot).
Well, so far I have read through page six. I am definitely inexperienced when it comes to the finer points, but I think most people who love the breed have somewhat of an eye for the overall package.
In the past I have found myself interested in pictures seen of *some European boxers. And I think it is for the reason stated in the link provided; many American boxers seem to look too "elegant". Almost to the point of appearing fragile, and surely that is not the direction the breed should be headed. Nor should the pendulum swing the other way where the dog becomes heavy, ungainly, and unrefined.
Isn't it up to the judges to help the pendulum rest more on center? I can understand *regional influence. Do judges rotate around the country very much?
Judges are hired by each club. All breed clubs hire from full roster of AKC judges while Specialty clubs tend to try and hire breeder judges. At least, I think they should :) The AKC does have a rule that a judge cannot judge within a certain distance again until 3 months have passed. I think that is the time. And the distance is like 200 to 400 miles. Something along those lines. Short of that, a judge simply goes where they are hired.
I have judged 2 Specialty sweepstakes at Boxer shows. Both were in the midwest so I saw a cross section of dogs I never see in California. This also is kind of more open for exhibitors because I am a fresh face whom they all have a chance under.
