Here is a photo I took of Charlie today after cleaning his tank. For some reason, the camera phone only pulled in his blue coloring and did not show his red. Such a happy fishy boy :)

This the first photo where you can see the individual radials or "spines" on Charlie.

Ok. I think the tank is filtering out the color. Sometimes plastic tanks are hard to photograph through. And glass tanks get glare. Fish are very hard to take pictures of. The fish geeks are always trying to take pictures of there fish and they are always having touble with lighting and colors coming out wrong and blur.

I think you are right. And yes, this is a plexi-glass tank with a bowed front. LOL---and yes, the fishy geeks spend long hours trying to get those perfect shots of their fish. Some photos of Bettas are incredible. But I am sure they went through alot of shots to get a single good one. A Betta photo is best taken when they are flaring. But for that, they have to be in fight mode which also means they are flipping all over. Very hard to get a good shot like that. But oh so worth it when you do !!
